What is the difference between a Exness Real and Demo account?

The major difference is that with Real accounts you will trade with real funds, while Demo accounts use virtual money with no real value to trade.

Other than that, the market conditions for Demo accounts are exactly the same as they are for Real accounts, making them ideal for practicing your strategies. Further, they are available for every account type other than Standard Cent.

Is a bonus program available for the new Exness account types?

Currently, there is no new bonus program available, but there may be a bonus program in the future.

Which Exness account types will be swap-free?

We provide swap-free accounts for Raw Spread, Zero, Standard Cent, Standard and Pro account types for residents of Muslim countries.

Can I open several Personal Areas with a single email address?

No, we do not offer more than one Personal Area per email address. You are able to create a new Personal Area with a new email address, however both will remain separate, with their own Personal Area Password and secret word.
If it is helpful, keep in mind that you can use the same phone number for multiple Personal Areas.

Is it necessary to verify an account?

Yes, it is recommended that you fully verify your PA (Personal Area) once you register with Exness. PA verification is a two-step process consisting of an EP (Economic Profile), and verification of documents. Document verification is required for both proof of identity and address.

Unless fully verified, you will face certain limitations on available payment methods and deposit amounts.

We have set up automatic verification reminders in your PA to help you complete this step as conveniently as possible.

Note: You only need to verify your identity and address once per PA.

What is the accepted size of the verification documents?

The size of any documents you upload for verification purposes should not exceed 15 megabytes per document, be that an image file, PDF or other file type. If your files exceed this size, we recommend you try to compress the file to below 15mb, or adjust the quality and size settings of your scanner, if you are using one.

How can I check the status of my Exness uploaded verification documents?

Once your Proof of Identity (POI) and/or Proof of Residence (POR) documents are checked, you will receive a confirmation email in your registered email inbox. If you still cannot find it, please check your spam folder.

You can also log into your Personal Area to see your verification status on the top bar. Clicking on this area will give you an opportunity to reupload your documentation if rejected.

How long does it take to verify an account?

You should receive feedback on your submitted Proof of Identity (POI) or Proof of Residence (POR) documents within minutes, however, it can take up to 24 hours per submission if the documents require advanced verification (a manual check).

Note: POI and POR documents can be submitted at the same time. If you wish, you can skip the POR upload and do it later.

How many trading accounts can I have in my Personal Area?

Each account type has certain limitations on how many of each can be created in one PA (Personal Area). These limits have been put in place to reduce the load on our servers.

Why do I need an account currency?

When you create a trading account with Exness, you choose an account currency. This is the currency in which you wish to maintain your funds for that particular account.

It is important to pick the right account currency, suitable for you, as currency conversions apply when making deposits and withdrawals in a currency different from the account’s denominated currency.

Remember that account currency cannot be changed at a later stage; you would need to open a new trading account in your Personal Area to be able to choose a different account currency.

Will old bonus programs still be available after new account type launch?

Yes, bonus programs already subscribed to on existing accounts will continue to work as usual even after the new account type launch.

Please note that existing accounts have only undergone a name change (for example, Classic was renamed to Pro and Mini to Standard).

Note that bonus programs are only available on Standard and Pro accounts.

Which documents must I provide for the creation of Real and Demo accounts?

All Exness accounts follow a verification process which involves verifying your identity and location of residence via documentation. Accounts that do not meet the document verification requirements may find limited services available to them, so it is highly recommended to fully verify your profile.

For Demo and Real accounts, different documentation requirements need to be met to have access to trading functions, such as depositing and withdrawing for example.

Demo Accounts

With only an email address and password, you can start trading right away with Demo trading accounts. Upon registering a new account, you receive an MT5 Demo trading account with USD 10 000 by default (these funds have no real monetary value and are used for trading practice only).

You can create more Demo trading accounts, though note there is a limit to how many you can have in a single Personal Area and Demo trading accounts are unavailable for the Standard Cent account type.

Real Accounts

In order to use Real trading accounts, you will need the following:

Registered and verified email address and/or phone number: these should be verified by following the instructions sent to your email/phone upon registration respectively.
Personal information: Provide personal details including first name, last name, date of birth, and physical address.
Deposit: a deposit must meet the account type’s minimum deposit amount. Note that a Personal Area that is not fully verified is limited to a total deposit amount of USD 2 000, across all trading accounts.

Once the first deposit reflects, you may trade with a Real trading account, but you will need to fully verify your profile within 45 days to lift some key limitations from your Personal Area.

Documents required to fully verify your Personal Area and lift Real trading account limitations include:

Economic Profile: this is recommended to complete during the initial registration process, as it is an important step in the verification process.
Proof of Identity: which must match the name of the account holder; once verified the total deposit limit of USD 2 000 is adjusted to USD 50 000 for Real trading accounts.
Proof of Residence: this must be your current country/region of residence; once verified, all limitations on Real trading accounts in your Personal Area are lifted.

Note: The documentation verification process need only be completed once per Personal Area with a limit of 45 days imposed on completing this process before all trading functions are barred for trading accounts in your Personal Area. In some cases, further verification documents may be required.

Trading in the Forex market is only available to those aged 18 years or older; this applies to Demo accounts as well. If found to be under 18 years of age, and operating an account with Exness, your account will be terminated as per the Exness Client Agreement.

Which instruments are available for trading with a Standard Cent account?

The instruments available to trade on the Standard Cent account include:

Forex (36 currency pairs)
Metals (XAUUSDc and XAGUSDc)

Which account types are Demo accounts available for?

All account types have Demo accounts available, except the Standard Cent account which can only be traded on with real money.
There is a limit of how many Demo accounts you can have per account type at one time.

Are there any region restrictions for different account types?

Regional restrictions apply for Standard Cent account. There are no region restrictions for all other accounts (Standard, Standard Plus, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero). Minimum deposit requirements may vary between different regions.

Why did you change the name of my account type?

We want to make your trading experience even better by introducing the following improvements:

Lower minimum lot requirements for the Pro account (previously known as the Classic account)
More commonly used account type names (Cent is now known as Standard Cent, Mini is now known as Standard and Classic is now known as Pro).

Where do I check my trading account’s type?

Follow these steps to find out which account type your trading account is:

Log in to your Personal Area for the “My Accounts” section.
Find the trading account you wish to check, then click the cog icon to bring up its settings.
Select Account Information from the settings. Which account type your trading account is will be listed under “Type”.

The account type is also shown when choosing to Open an extra account.

What will happen to my funds in my old accounts?

Nothing will happen to your funds, the same amount will remain. Only the account name will change.

How do I find the transaction number in the Personal Area?

Log in to your Personal Area and select Transaction History from the left-hand side main menu.

Transaction History presents a list of every transaction made with your account. Each entry in the list will have its own unique transaction number and you will also see what type of transaction it is: Withdrawal or Deposit.

At the top of this area, you can filter the Transaction History by the trading account using the dropdown menu, as well as defining a specific period of time.

The transaction number is found under the header No. in the first column, next to the date of the transaction.

What will happen to my trades if the account I’m using is renamed?

Your trades (open/closed or pending) will in no way be affected by your account being renamed. Exness gives you the opportunity to rename your account only for easier reference, for testing, or monitoring purposes.

Accounts can be renamed from the Personal Area while they are being created, or by clicking account box Nickname Rename account.

What are the minimum and maximum lot sizes for different account types?
